Cambridge Racecourse is located at 40 Racecourse Road, Cambridge, Waikato, New Zealand.
The Cambridge Venue is the largest training centre in Australasia with up to 1300 horses trained at the facilities each month. There are 13 different tracks spread over 150 acres. These include New Zealand's first synthetic Polytrack constructed by Martin Collins New Zealand, which opened in 2020.
Additionally, there are flood lit left and right-handed plough, grass, and sand tracks, an equine swimming pool, and separate hurdle and steeple chase tracks which are open from 1 March to 31 October.
Race meetings are held fortnightly between May and October, flat trials regularly throughout the year, and jumping trials during the winter months.
The Polytrack has been invaluable to racing in the Waikato over the winter months providing a consistent, secure surface to perform on, even in the most extreme weather conditions.
