WTR & the NZB Kiwi

Waikato Thoroughbred Racing was proud to be one of the inaugural slot holders in the $4.5m NZB Kiwi

The race, which took place as a part of Champions Day (8 March) at Ellerslie Racecourse was like nothing ever seen before in New Zealand and we were proud to have secured a slot for our stakeholders in the Waikato.

It was such an exciting journey and we hope you felt informed every step of the way as we selected our runner, learnt more about them and the process then cheered them on come raceday.  We were so proud to have Sethito represent the mighty Waikato and whilst the result didn't go our way this year, we can't wait to do it all over again in 2026. Congratulations to Te Akau Racing and Damask Rose on their win.
