DIMAGGIO looked ready to regain winning form when galloping on the back plough. 

DIMAGGIO left 1000m behind in 1.8, sprinting the last 600m in 38.1.  He ran an encouraging placing last start and should prove tough to beat at Ellerslie Sunday. 

On the front plough: 

Stablemates and race rivals at Ellerslie this weekend YALDI and HINEHAKA were together throughout an easy 1000m run in 1.11.8  with the concluding 600m in 41.5.

Both are at peak fitness.

RETROSTAR returned the quickest gallop of the session when maintaining a decent clip from the 1200m in 1.18 the final 600m in 37.9.

AEGON was given easy work prior to Saturdays Thorndon Mile when timed 1200m in 1.26 finishing off in 42.1.

LANIKAI left 1200m behind in 1.25.7 home in 38.1.

MUSTANG MORGAN, one of three Forsman trained horses engaged in Sunday's Gingernuts Salver at Ellerslie came to the end of 1200m in 1.23 and 40.8.

PROCHESTER followed in 1.25.5 and 40.3.

THE CHARM and ANDAHA were clocked from the 600m in 40.

SINHAMAN did his Trentham chances when completing the last 600m of 800m in 39.2.

AVORIAZ came in from the 600m in 40.4.

LA PRIMA DAHMA was timed from the 600m in 41.4.

KITTY FLASH looked in excellent order for Trentham with nice solo work over 1000m in 1.8 the final 600m in 39.1. 

ARMINO ran 800m in 55 and 40.3.

MR MOJO RISIN completed 1000m in 1.7.6 home in 38.3.

SURPRISE INSIDE strode 1200m in 1.25.3 and 40.6.
