CAMBRIDGE TRACKWORK – 10 September 2026

Tony Pike’s Hervey Bay looks in good order ahead of Saturday’s Hastings MAAT 1200m, with the five-year-old son of Sooboog working nicely on the soft grass and running home his final 600m in 40.1.

Pike’s other gallopers were on the back sand, with Cannon Hill working home in 41.9, while Dorado and Bees Knees matched strides from the 1000m and completed their final 600m in 41.2. Another Hastings-bound runner, Honey Badger, was kept to a steady 41.9, while Shamexpress three-year-old filly Intan looked good stopping the clock in 41.8.

Sir Colin Meads Trophy runner Shambo Jack from the Stephen Marsh stable cruised through a quiet piece of work on the soft grass, running his last 600m in 44.2. The Shamexpress gelding appears to be in good shape heading into Saturday’s feature and could make his presence felt.

Last season’s Listed Champagne Stakes winner Incandescent looks set to make his mark again as he continues his three-year-old campaign. The Per Incanto gelding from the James and Wellwood stable recorded 40.1 for his final 600m.

The stable had plenty of others on the back sand, with Fairy Dream, winner of the Group Three Desert Gold Stakes, working home in 39.7. Dance The Night was sharp in 38.9, while recent trial winner Roccadonna recorded 39.6. Too Darn Hot three-year-old filly Shore Breeze completed her work in 40.4, while Pearling Crown, who is set to race at Te Rapa on Sunday, looked in good order running 40.6.

Three-year-old filly Outthere impressed with a slick 39.0, while Almanzor three-year-old Zooty was equally eye-catching, stopping the clock in 38.8. Pierro colt Repeat Performance rounded out the work in 39.3.

Andrew Forsman also had a strong representation out, with Savabeel mare Chilling Out catching the eye with a solid 38.9. Morning Cocoa followed in 39.4, with Virgo Viva recording 39.7, Too Darn Sweet 40.1, Arianova 40.2, Love Divine 39.9, Mount Crean40.3, and One Too Many 40.6.

Fastnet Rock three-year-old Fastnet Dancer and Saxon Warrior three-year-old Saxon Dancer were paired together and finished their work nicely in 40.4, rounding out another busy morning of trackwork at Cambridge.
