Tony Pike who presents a strong hand this weekend at Tauranga in the Team Wealleans Tauranga Classic a listed WFA race for the fillies and mares, with Churchillian, Honey Badger, Thooza and Astoria Brooke all set to clash in Saturdays feature race.

Honey Badger joined race rival Astoria Brooke, the pair looked good working from the 1100m and going an easy 40.1 for their last 600m.

While Churchillian was joined by Overdrawn and the pair returned 40.2.

Thooza and Starlit Express matched strides, working home in 40.4.

Others from the Tony Pike stable saw Annonay and Honey Honey finishing their last 600m in 40.9. while  Eliud was timed over 600m in 41.7.

The last of the Pike runners that was seen working was Deep Pursuit who completed his last 600m in an easy 41.4.

Andrew Forsman only had a few out galloping this morning with the unraced El Roca filly Black Diamond taking time honours from the Forsman team, working home the last 600m in 39.5.   Others from the Forsman team included Indian Ink who worked home in a quiet 44.7. Walkin In Memphis worked quietly along in 45. Septima looked good clocking 39.7 for the last 600m. While Milanese returned 40.7 for the last 600m.

Completing the Forsman runners saw Sixteen Days who joined Pit Boss an unraced Savabeel colt, the two of them stepped out on a soft back grass and looked good coming home in 40.4.

On the Poly track we saw Catherine Cameron runners Raajoices and Millennium Magic looking slick completing their last 600m in 37.3. Others out on the poly were two unnamed horses of Dean Wiles by Belardo and Embellish who completed their last 600m in 38.2 and from the Nick Kneebone stable had an unnamed Super Seth returning 38.7 for the last 600m.

Stephen Marsh had a busy morning with several of his team stepping out to gallop this morning.  Those to be clocked included Dramatic Miss who looks to step out in the Team Wealleans Tauranga Classic on Saturday stopping the clock at 40.9 for the final 600m.

The well performed Swiss Prince looks to be coming up well, working home in a quiet 41.9. Feel The Stag recorded 41.1 for his last 600m. The Heels & Hooves Syndicate #2 owned runner Sexy And I Moet looked stylish returning 40.9 for the last 600m and also holds a nom in this weekends feature race as well as the rating 75 1400m.

Another Floozie completed her work in an easy 41.6.

Last start Matamata winner Ocean Opal who lines up at Tauranga in either the rating 65 1200m or the 3yo 1200, looked stylish running home in 40.9, while race rivals Tale Of The Gypsy ran home her last 600m of her 1000m gallop in 40.7 and Oberon was clocked for the last 600m in 40.6

Bright Thoughts returned 40.7 and was followed by Donita Rose who completed her work in 41.1.

Trial winner Paddy Murphy worked home nicely in 41.7 while stablemate Los Salsero completed his last 600m in 40.9.

Kahului looked good returning 40.7 for the 600m while the Frankel colt Hebridean Way ran home in 41.6. Ancient Greece completed his work 41.4 and to complete Marsh’s morning saw Media world who was timed for the 600m in 40.7.

To round up the morning gallops, Shane Crawford presented Bonnard who has won 4 of his 8 race day starts, Bonnard was seen to return 40.9 for his last 600m while stablemates La Florida came home in an easy 43.9 and Jamaican Boy followed completing his 600m in 42.7.
