Cambridge Trackwork Report – 27 August 2026

On a very foggy morning at Cambridge, the Stephen Marsh stable completed preparations for this weekend’s feature Wanganui Guineas, with two of their runners looking in good order.

Ardrossan filly So Fear stopped the clock at 44.1 for her final 600m, while stablemate Perfect Chaos looked good working home in 44.0. Marsh’s only other runner seen galloping was Unmistakable, who also makes the trip south to Wanganui and lines up in Race 1. The Almanzor mare completed her work in 43.4.

Others to gallop included The Last Alliance from the Andrew Forsman stable, who worked home in 41.6, while Dare You and stablemate Zena (Rees) paired up to run 39.1.

Tony Pike had several weekend runners out, with All In Black, who lines up in Race 1 at Wanganui, working home in 43.6. Starlit Express, a Race 3 contender, recorded 43.4, while last-start winner Honey Badger, who lines up in Race 6, worked home in 43.7.

Bee’s Knees and Autumn Eve galloped together, returning 43.1, while Intan and Open Country matched strides to finish their work in a sharp 40.6.
