Cambridge Trackwork Report – 25 August 2026

Shaune Ritchie and Colm Murray produced Tajana and Tuxedo to gallop separately on a soft No. 4 grass this morning. Tajana worked home in 39.1, while the talented Tuxedo, last seen finishing third in the Group 1 Bonecrusher Stakes, came home in 38.9. Both look to be coming to hand nicely for their spring assignments.

The stable also had Gate Crashers and Summer Schemer on the back sand, the pair matching strides and returning 40.1 for their final 600m.

Group 1-winning mare She’s A Dealer looked fantastic galloping on the back sand, working from the 1200m in 1:22 and finishing off in 39.3. Others from the James and Wellwood stable included Remutaka Classic winner The Precursor, who ran 1:25 for the 1200m and 40.4 for the final 600m, while last-start Listed winner Excite covered the 1200m in 1:28 and came home in 41.1. Zivou returned 43.9, The Spaniard 44.6, and Dance The Night finished off in a smart 38.7.

Also on the back sand, So Be It and Mister Roquette (Rees) worked together to run home in 38.4. Nancy She Wrote (Foote) returned 40.1, while Liberty Belle joined Rough In Tough (Forsman) to record 38.9. Galloping as a trio, Wulver, Exceeding Joy and Vitalise (Forsman) came home in 38.4, with Moonbeams returning 40.8.

Tony Pike’s back-sand gallopers included last-start winner Honey Badger, who worked home in 42.8, while Storm Front was kept to a quiet 43.1. Starlit Express covered 1000m in 1:09 and came home in 39.5, while last-start winner Astoria Brooke returned 40.1. Trial-winning Proisir filly Ellendale looked impressive, working home in 39.8, with another trial-winning Proisir 3yo All In Black looking equally as good in 40.1. Talented Deep Field mare Miss Jones completed Pike’s gallopers, running home in 41.1.

On the front sand, promising stayer Sinhaman from the Stephen Marsh stable, last seen finishing second in the Hawke’s Bay Cup, was allowed an easy gallop and returned 44.1 for the final 600m. Fastdeeldun ran 41.2, Savina 42.0, while seven-time winner Lerado, entered to race at Cambridge on Friday, cruised home in 43.0. Los Salsero returned 41.5 and The Trendsetter 41.9.

Other Marsh runners included Confectionist, who is set to line up at Friday’s Cambridge meeting and was a winner here on the synthetic track back in July. She looked in good order, working home in a nicely held 41.0. Ignore Me Not, another heading to Friday’s meeting, came home in 40.7, while last-start winner Perfect Pour, a 3yo gelding by Dundeel, returned 40.6 for his final 600m.

Andrew Forsman paired Confianza, a 4yo mare by Contributer who has won two of her three raceday starts, with last-start winner Wanganella, the pair returning 39.5. Morning Cocoa joined Artissimo to record 39.6, while Madamanzor worked alongside Love Divine, with the pair stopping the clock at 39.8. Fat Cat returned 39.9 and Hard Roca 39.7 in their individual gallops.

Back on the soft No. 4 grass, Sam Logan paired Jelly Roll and Powhiri, who produced a slick 37.8 for their final 600m.

Stephen Marsh stepped out trial-winning Almanzor mare Unmistakable, who worked home in 39.9. Ever-consistent Perfect Chaos joined So Fear, with the pair stopping the clock at 39.8.

Forsman produced talented pair Elle Sourit and Rambling On, who returned a smart 38.4. Stakes performer Mary Shan was paired with Turn Me Loose 3yo filly Zippidy, the pair running home in 38.9.

Wellesley Stakes winner Lassified joined trial-winning Savabeel filly Baia Serena, with the pair returning 38.4, while well-performed trial runners Rhaena and Molto Spirito looked good coming home in a slick 38.3.
